FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I see a photo of yours that is not in the Shop, how can I purchase it?

A: I've taken thousands of images over the years, so there's no way to host them all in one Shop. However, every image on the website or posted on Instagram is available for purchase. Pricing will depend on whether the piece is Limited or Open Edition, and the size. Email studio@melaniedunea.com if you're interested in a non-listed print, with the image and the size desired. (Standard sizing can be found in the Shop).

Q: I'm with the press -- how do I get in touch?

A: Email studio@melaniedunea.com with all press inquiries.

Q: Can I (or my company) commission bespoke photography, pitch collaborations or speaking engagements?

A: We are all ears! Commissions depend on availability and pricing, and we consider brand-aligned collabs or speaking engagements on a case-by-case basis. Email studio@melaniedunea.com with the deets.

Q: What is the shipping time for orders?

A: We have two domestic shipping options, standard shipping which will arrive in 3-5 business days and expedited shipping which will arrive in 1-2 business days. Our International shipping will take 10-15 business days, depending on location.

Q: How are the prints shipped, and what do they come with?

A: Each print is on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper, includes a hand signature by Melanie Dunea and a certificate of authenticity. Prints are rolled into tubes for safe shipping.

Q: What should I do if I need to cancel or modify an order?

A: You have up to 24 hours from making a purchase to modify or cancel the order. Please email studio@melaniedunea.com, if that is the case. Do note that once an image has been printed, it cannot be canceled or modified. If we are able to successfully cancel your order, you will be refunded in full.

Q: Do the prints come framed?

A: No. Framing is an intricate and time intensive craft, and fine art owners typically choose to work with a trusted framer they know. If you are based in NYC and looking for a framer, I recommend ROOQ Fine Art and Framing.  Melanie is also available to help you choose a frame via virtual meeting.  Set up an appointment through studio@melaniedunea.com.

Q: Are prints hand signed?

A: All Prints are hand signed by Melanie Dunea.  You can request to have your print signed on the front or back.

Q: Can I add a personalized note to the order?

A: Melanie is happy to add a personalized letter to every order, per request.

Q: I think my package is lost.

A: Check the tracking number emailed to you on your email confirmation and let us know at studio@melaniedunea.com.

Q: Do I own the rights to the work I purchase?

A: Copyright concerning the work of the photographer remains the bearer of the rights of the author of his or her work. The rights of representation and of reproduction of the works presented on this site belong to Melanie Dunea. The authorization of Melanie Dunea is necessary for all exploitation of these rights. Your rights to the purchased product when it’s a photograph are therefore limited to a right to private use, excluding any right of representation and of reproduction.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept all major debit and credit cards as well as Paypal.

Q: What if my order arrives damaged?

A: If a product arrives damaged, you must keep all original packaging material for insurance purposes. Claims must be made within 7 days of receipt via email to studio@melaniedunea.com. Send us a description of the damage, and photos of the damaged areas if possible. Damaged items may be eligible for exact replacement.

Q: What is the Return and Refund Policy?

A: Each print is custom made per order and is unable to be returned or refunded.  Exact exchanges will be made on damaged or defective products.
